This article really convinced me to finally take that step and go travelling solo! I just gradued from university and I figured this is the perfect time to go adventure. I`m planning on backpacking through Europe in the fall.
However, I`m still a bit worried that I`ll get lonely at times. Would it be better to plan the trip myself or go with one of those solo travelers group?

    • Hi Mel! For your first trip, go with what feels more comfortable. You will definitely have the opportunity as a solo traveler to meet people in hostels, on walking tours, etc. but if you enjoy a group environment much more, than definitely consider one of the groups 🙂 there is no right or wrong way to go!

I’m 38 and about to embark on my very first solo adventure to Vietnam and Cambodia. Am I scared and nervous? Absolutely!!! But can’t wait to do it and I’m sure it will the first of many. Love your tips x

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
