I hear you. I felt relatively safe, but I had my boyfriend there with me. Sometimes it was him who was slightly freaked out 🙂 I think Morocco is overall safe, but you have to be careful in the Medinas. The more touristy, the worse. Also, as a solo female, I’d rather not enter cafés and restaurants where there are clearly only males. The piercing looks are not worth it. Plus, dressing modestly is very important in Morocco IMHO.

  2. This was extremely helpful to read as a female solo traveler. I was hoping to visit Morocco {and still plan to!}, but having this insight beforehand is comforting. Thank you for being honest about your experience!

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
