  1. I’ve never thought about packing a drying line, but I’m going to try it on my next trip!

I travel all over the world – often for a month at a time – with only a carry-on. Instead of liquid soap packs (like Woolite), I pack hard soap pods (for use in a washing machine). They can’t leak, and dissolve instantly in water. Instead of a clothes line, I pack five foldable clothes hangers with clips and let the clothes dry on hangers. Easy. If traveling to the hinterlands, I know it is advisable to also bring a flat drain stopper, but I have never needed one (yet).

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
