  1. Ah this is so helpful, thank youl! I’m planning to spend the summer backpacking across Europe. Currently deliberating on whether to use Eurail or not, so if anyone has any advice do let me know!

    • Glad it could help! Click the link in the transportation section and it goes to a helpful article by Nomadic Matt on how to use Eurail 🙂

I would be wary of the Eurail pass. It’s almost always not worth it for Americans, but if you are from an EU country it really just depends on where you’re going and which pass you are getting. I spent last summer backpacking from Southern Spain to northern Denmark with a Danish friend. We covered quite a bit of ground, but for me it was cheaper to buy the individual train tickets rather than a Eurail pass, however she was able to buy the interrail pass at a MUCH cheaper rate because she is from an EU country. I also used Ryanair to get from Barcelona to Paris. (It was almost €100 cheaper and saved 10 hours as opposed to taking an overnight train). I just googled city A to city B train for each destination and it was pretty easy to compare prices that way. Also a lot of the faster trains offer discounts with eurail passes, but you still end up having to pay €20-€30 on top of the rail pass price.

  2. Never been backpacking before, but these tips are extremely helpful. Might decide to try it for myself someday.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
