  1. I am from the Netherlands and in the summer from 2015 I am going to travel Europe with my boyfriend. We are going for three weeks and after that we stay one week with my parents and brother in Lagos or Lissabon in Portugal, so we must plan or whole tip. Everyone gives us the advice not to plan or whole trip, but we have to because of that. I do not really mind, because it’s our first holiday together and we both never traveled for so long. I am really looking forward to it!

    • Fantastic! Even if you have a plan these tips should help with what to expect 🙂 Portugal is an amazing country and you’ll likely find it to be quite inexpensive. Lisbon is one of my fav cities. If you get the chance, sneak off to Porto. It’s gorgeous!

  2. I’ve done a fair bit of traveling but Europe seems like a whole new world to me! These tips will be super useful as I’m finally heading there for the first time this coming spring and I’m SO EXCITED!! Really good to know about the currency exchanges being a ripoff!

    • Yay! Safe travels Leah! And definitely avoid currency exchanges. Pull out from an ATM if you need cash!

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
