  1. Didn’t know insurances could even cover missed connections! Happened to me once – it was probably one of the less pleasant experiences in my life, everything got out of order in that trip.

I’ve travelled around Europe with a EU insurance, which is for free, but it doesn’t cover anything, really. It just gives you the right to receive medical help when something happens to you and covers emergencies (if you broke something, for example). When I was in Germany I suddenly got wisdom teeth emergency, so I went to the dentist (couldn’t wait) and he removed them for free. So nice!

  2. Ah good post 🙂 It shocks me that people would ever consider going away and not getting travel insurance.

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
