I plan on traveling alone within about one year. I was wondering what places you would suggest with an island lifestyle to live? Thanks (:

I am currently planning a summer backpacking trip to England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland. This will be my first solo trip and my first time in Europe. I am wanting to take my DSLR with me. When you mentioned taking care of your possessions, would it be a bad idea to take it with me? I can be rather snap happy and I will be staying in hostels which from what I understand usually have lockers that you can lock your stuff up in (is this something you have found as well?).

    • You should definitely bring your camera! Just use your best judgement with when you leave it and bring it with you. You obviously want to ensure it’s securely locked when you leave it in a hostel. Taking photos while traveling through the UK shouldn’t put you in any risk though. There’s a lot of tourism there 🙂

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
