Thank you so much for your tiny sentence at the bottom about how women of all types, including mothers, travel solo! I’m a single mom and put myself through graduate school. Now that I am done, and my baby is 9 years old and more independent (can go stay with grandma for a few weeks while I go out) I can’t wait to start taking some trips by myself!!! And…I can’t wait to start taking him places with me in a few years! I never believed that I could travel solo as a single mom, but just recently started asking myself….why not??? And now I’m planning trips 🙂

  2. These are some great tips. 🙂 I especially like the part about dressing like a local.

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
