  1. Aaah! I love Dubai! I know so many people that have been there and didn’t like it at all, but I went a few years ago and I loved it! It seemed like a different planet! But I think my favorite part was the multicultural environment and how open everyone was… I remember going to the 360 bar (did you go?) and suddenly was drinking with people from Argentina, Iran, Turkey, Spain… Loved it! Luckily my cousin lives there, and I can’t wait to go back! 😉

I totally agree. It’s the people that make Dubai so special. So many influences from around the world.

I lived there for 13 years

  2. I’ve got friends who moved to Dubai to teach as part of their masters program, and have loved it so much they stayed there permanently! Would love to go visit.

I don’t know why Dubai gets such a bad reputation! I loved it too!

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
