Since you already recommend Reykjavik, I would even put Oslo and Copenhagen on that list. Norwegian people might not be very social, which can make it difficult to get to know people, but Danish people are. At least after a couple of beer.

I have travel to Taipei and Seoul alone, but that was it. Find it much easier to travel alone in Europe. And I guess USA is the easiest one – as you are all so social and easy to get to know! =)

    Dear Kiersten,

I just want to let you know, that I found a couple of days before your blog and totally fall in love with your website.

I am pretty sure, that you have one of the best – very best travel blogs I ever have seen. Beautiful pictures, clear structure, great tips, and very helpful topics!

It’s a pleasure to go through your website and read your recommendations. Thank you!

    Cheers

PS: hope you enjoy your time in Cape Town! x

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
