And please, for the love off god, keep your group conversation to yourself, quietly. We lived in Lugano for 18 months and every time we took a train it seemed there was a group of American tourists, post high school aged who were high volume the whole time they were on board…I particularly remember one girl bashing this cafe and the waiter and watching everyone seated around them, you could tell that they understood every single word and were annoyed. Our stop was next to switch trains and as we walked past them my husband leaned in and told her that even though people didn’t speak English to her in a foreign country, they knew exactly what she was saying and they were just being polite not to respond. Her face immediately got red and I’m hoping they got the message. Yes, it’s like a plane. People are trying to sleep, relax, travel in peace. Don’t be the reason Europeans hare loud American tourists.

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
