  1. Some great tips! Before I had the opportunity to set off on my current backpacking trip I suffered severe wanderlust! One of the things that worked best for me was exploring my own backyard, just about every weekend we would go camping, on a bush walk or just generally exploring our region. And I’m so thankful I did that now, because I have so many memories of home that I treasure!

    • Yes! Home can be just as exciting if you adjust your perspective!

  2. Growing up my parents would always take us on little weekend getaways to coastal towns or a theme park. These days I’m always trying new restaurants/cafes and sometimes tag along with my brother when he does a sunrise/sunset shoot. Anything to make me feel like I’m not at home! Oh, and the hotel thing? I totally do that way too much!

    • Looks like you have got it down! Restaurants are definitely my biggest thing. Though I could use a hotel stay right about now!

Spending a year abroad sounds exciting… until you see the planning involved.

Flights, edits, contracts, itineraries — not to mention the admin of being a mom. I’m usually running everything at once, so having a laptop that can keep up makes a huge difference.

I’ve been using an AMD Ryzen AI–powered laptop to keep everything organized, run AI tools even when WiFi isn’t available, and work from wherever we happen to be in the world.

So I can finish what I need to do… and get back to what’s most important ❤️
